Varisu (translated as "Heir") is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action-drama film directed by Vamshi Paidipally, co-written with Hari and Ashishor Solomon. The story centers around a successful businessman named Rajendran (Sarath Kumar). Rajendran runs one of the biggest businesses in India, assisted by his ambitious sons, Jai and Ajay (Srikanth, Shaam). When Rajendran is diagnosed with advanced-stage pancreatic cancer, he decides to celebrate his 65th birthday in spectacular fashion. His third and youngest son Vijay returns home for the celebration after a long estrangement from the family. The plot takes an unexpected turn when Vijay is forced to stay at home and manage his father’s empire.
