When Does The Beekeeper Come Out?
MGM will release THE BEEKEEPER in movie theatres on January 12, 2024.

"You're telling me one man did this? And the only thing you know is that he's a beekeeper." THE BEEKEEPER trailer almost feels like it can't be a real movie — Statham plays an elite operative of some sort for a secretive "Beekeeper" organization but he's also a beekeeper in his civilian life? A real hiding in plain sight scenario there!
As out-there as the setup may be, the action in THE BEEKEEPER looks great. It's satisfying to see the targets of Statham's ire taken out in spectacular fashion — who hasn't wanted to torch an online scammer's hideout?
Who Directed The Beekeeper?
THE BEEKEEPER comes from director David Ayer, who made SUICIDE SQUAD, END OF WATCH, and FURY. The script is by Kurt Wimmer (EXPEND4BLES, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN). The two previously worked together on 2008's STREET KINGS, which was Ayer's second feature as director.
Jason Statham signed on to do the movie based on Wimmer's script back in August of 2021. Ayer was on board in May of 2022.
Will There Be a Sequel to The Beekeeper?
We don't know about BEEKEEPER sequels yet, since the movie doesn't come out for a couple more months. But in May 2022, when David Ayer signed to direct, trade reports said the idea was for this movie to be the first in a series. So we'll see!
Who's in The Beekeeper Cast?
In addition to Jason Statham, THE BEEKEEPER stars Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad and Jeremy Irons.
THE BEEKEEPER opens on January 12.
